The library is being equipped with books and other resources. The library focussed on collections of resources taking into consideration the course contents and research needs of the university. The library’s learning resource collections are developed aiming at providing the highest level of research and teaching support to the programmes and research thrust areas of the University. It is growing in breadth and depth and as on today, it holds about 35800+ books and subscribe to over 46 print magazines and journals and over 8900+ e-journals. The library has installed KOHA software and computerized Library. The library serves members who include faculty, students, research scholars, and staff. The library already subscribes to a number of Indian and foreign journals as well as a good number of periodicals and magazines.

Lilavati Lalbhai Library houses more than 50,000 resources which include books, bound volumes of journals, theses and students’ reports. The library collection includes the key works of reference pertaining to the 5 Faculties on Campus. subjects like Architecture, Art, History and civilization, Urban Design, Landscape Design, Interior Design, Furniture Design, Graphics, Textile Design, Computer Aided Design, Building Science, Structural Design, Earthquake Engineering, Construction Planning and Management, Urban and Regional Planning, Housing, Environmental Planning, Transportation, Remote Sensing, GIS, Economics, Sociology and Economic Planning, are all available. In addition, the Library has a growing collection of Audio Visual Resources on CDs, DVDs and Slides.
More than 150 national and international periodicals are subscribed to, both in hard and digital forms, enabling users to keep up to date with the latest trends in their particular fields.
Library has a unique collection of over 4,500 drawings relating to research carried out by students and faculty over more than 50 years. The collection documents all forms of architecture and development to be found in India. This collection is referred to by national and international scholars.
A user-friendly library software called Koha has been adopted at the Library. This internationally recognized software facilitates automated circulation (issue & return) of the books and speedy access to bibliographies, locations and availability information of the books stocked in the library.
Library is equipped with latest RFID technology.
During academic session, library is open for more than 86 hours per week.
The Vikram Sarabhai Library (VSL) is named after Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, world renowned physicist and founding Director of IIMA. It was set up in 1962 and is one of the best management libraries in Asia. The library is open 24x7. Our mission is to facilitate convenient and user friendly access to current, global and relevant information by identifying, acquiring, organizing and retrieving information in various formats (print & non print) to serve the information needs of the academic fraternity of IIMA to meet their teaching, research, consulting, training and learning requirements.
The Central Library of IIT-Gandhinagar supports the main objective of the institute to become a world class institution in Engineering, Sciences and Humanities & Social Sciences.
The library has a rich collection of books on Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and Humanities & Social Sciences. The collection includes reference books, text books, CDs etc. We are constantly in a process of increasing our collection of books further.
IIT-Gandhinagar library has also started subscribing to research journals in electronic as well as printed formats. E-journals available with various reputed online scientific databases such as American Chemical Society, American Physical Society, American Mathematical Society, Annual Reviews, ASME, IEEE, JSTOR, MathScinet, Nature, Science-Direct and SpringerLink and can be accessed.
The INFLIBNET Library plays a vital role in the collection development and dissemination of scientific and technical information to meet the present and future needs of the Centre.
The INFLIBNET Centre has a small, specialized library consisting of 2000 documents on computer, communication, information and library science. The library is fully computerized using SOUL integrated library management software. The collection of the library is available online through the web OPAC facility of the SOUL.
The INFLIBNET Library plays a vital role in the collection development and dissemination of scientific and technical information to meet the present and future needs of the Centre.

PRL Library is the treasure house of knowledge showcasing the best collection of books, periodicals and other non-book material from all corners of the world in Astronomy, Geosciences, Planetary Sciences, Space Sciences, Solar Physics and Theoretical Physics. The Library is the backbone of the Institute and has multifaceted approach to managing print, digital, and audio-visual material in a seamless manner. It plays a vital role in knowledge capacity building and research skills development at PRL.
The Library has access to full-text databases like AGU Digital Library, GSA Archive, Nature archive (access from 1987), PROLA, Science Archive, SPIE Digital Library and IEEE Digital Library. It gives links to 180 online journals out of the 196 journals subscribed by the library. The PRL Library maintains an institutional repository which consists of journal articles published by the PRL authors from 1990 to present and is also linked through the Library homepage. All the PRL theses from 1952 onwards (408) are now available full text for PRL users. All the Technical Notes since 1977, published by PRL have been digitized (109) and are available full text for PRL users.

KMC has all the treasured wealth of knowledge showcasing the best collection of books, periodicals and other non-book resources from all corners of the world. Apart from this, the centre has a large collection of the student diploma projects, craft documentation reports and other research projects. The KMC also showcases the design prototypes.
The collective strength of all resources at the KMC is aimed giving the centre the power to provide services under on roof with online facilities to the faculty members, students, researchers and the corporate bodies and Institutes associated with design.
EDII Library and Information Centre (EDII LIC), the state-of the art of information centre enriched with updated information sources in the field of entrepreneurship and related subjects and equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity. EDII LIC enriched by rapidly growing book collection focusing the curricula of education, research other training programs. Besides, EDII LIC subscribes selected online resources in addition to national and international journals and periodicals on various sectors/areas. Another special feature of EDII LIC is the product profiles and a rich collection of CDROMs/DVDs. The LIC resources help its patrons in accessing the latest and relevant information and other literature to supplement their education and research at EDII. EDII LIC uses Open Source Softwares for its library management system (Koha) and DSpace for digitization of institutional repositories.
