About
I have more than 14 years of professional experience in academic library management and currently serve as Deputy Librarian at Rai University. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Gujarat University, along with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Library and Information Science from Sardar Patel University. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Library and Information Science from Madhav University.
My professional experience covers library administration, digital resource management, library automation, and institutional accreditation and compliance. I have experience implementing and managing library automation systems, including SOUL 2.0 and SOUL 3.0, and have been involved in accreditation and regulatory processes related to UGC, NAAC, PCI, BCI, FRC, QCI, and ICAR.
In my current role, I oversee various aspects of library operations, including library budget management, cataloguing and classification, circulation services, acquisition and collection development, and user account management. I also provide reference and research support services, coordinate SHODHGANGA thesis submissions, and contribute to academic and research activities within the university.
I regularly conduct library orientation, user training, and information literacy programmes for students and faculty members to help them effectively use library resources and services. I also coordinate Library Committee activities and maintain the documentation required for regulatory and accreditation bodies.
In addition to my professional responsibilities, I have contributed to the field of Library and Information Science through research publications in peer-reviewed journals and participation in national seminars and academic activities. My professional interests include academic library management, digital resources, library automation, information literacy, research support services, and the application of emerging technologies in libraries.
